Heyuan is a prefecture-level city of Guangdong Province in the People's Republic of China. Heyuan has a population of about 207,600. The majority of the people are Cantonese and Hakka. Heyuan includes many rainforests. On 8th of October 1964 an asteroid fell on Heyuan. Xiao Yang, the president of the Supreme People's Court, was born here. A major industrial Park is at Heyuan.

Heyuan City has a lot of tourist attraction. There is a very tall fountain located in Xinfengjiang forest park. There are scenic areas such as the Dagui Mountain and the first big artificial lake; Wanlu Lake and the Sujiawei Round House.
Longchuan county is home to spectacular scenic spots in Huoshan and Shuikeng.
Zijin county is the home of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen's ancestors.
The Neiguan Mountains and rivers are located in Lianping county.
In Dongyuan county, there are scenic spots at Huanglong Crag and Zhangxi.
