- There are two Currency Exchange counters at the international arrivals and departures building. One is after Immigration check point at departures area. The other is at after Customs and just before the arrivals waiting area.
- At the international side, Bank of China between Customs and Immigration check point.
- The Everbright Bank and the China Merchants banks are in the building next door to the domestic side.
- ATM Machines
- At the International Departures area, before you pay your tax. It is between the International Building and the Domestic Building. Mastercard, Visa & Visa Plus are accepted.
- At International Arrivals area, after you've cleared Customs but before you exit to waiting area. Mastercard, Visa & Visa Plus are accepted.
- Domestic Arrivals area, just inside Main Entrance on the left. Mastercard, Visa & Visa Plus are accepted.
- IDD telephones can be found only in the arrivals waiting area.
- Trolley Hire at Departure and Arrival is 1 Yuan.
- Designated smoking rooms are at both the International and Domestic sides once you have cleared through Immigration and Customs. The restaurant upstairs in the International Departure Lounge also allows you to smoke when you order food or drinks. None at the arrivals area though.
- You can find the hotel reservation services for the the following hotels inside the airport: Garden Hotel, Holiday Inn Pudong, Holiday in Downtown, JC Mandarin, Inter-Continental, Marriott, Renaissance Yangtze Shanghai Hotel, Jianguo Hotel, Sofitel, Worldfield Convention, Regal East Asia, The Westin.
- From the international side, there is a restaurant before you go through the Customs. All other restaurants are after you pass through the Customs area.
- At the domestic side, all restaurants are after you pass through the Security Check.
- There is a 'orderly queue' (to some degree) outside the arrivals area. Before you join the queue you may be asked if you want a taxi by somebody (who is not supposed to do so). The actual cost of a metered journey into downtown area now includes a 15 Yuan Toll from the Airport. Total charge for this journey should be around 40 Yuan. If the sum is much more than 40 Yuan, you may want to check with the Concierge to see if you have been 'taken for a ride'!

- Bus 1 to Pudong International Airport (30 Yuan)
- Long Distance Buses from the Airport
- Suzhou - Price 50 Yuan, leaves at 10am, 11am, 12 Midday, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5.30pm 7pm
- Nanjing - Price 95 Yuan, leaves at 1.30pm, 3.30pm and 6pm
- Hangzhou - Price 80 Yuan, leaves at 12.30pm and 2.30pm
