Ganfanpen of Changbai Mountain is situated in Jiangyuan County of Jilin, and 160km south of Changbai Mountain. Known as “Bermuda of Changbai Mountain” for its mystery and monstrosity, the arduous and grotesque landscape of Ganfanpen attract many adventures. There are six main attractions in the spot: Bangchui Peak, Jiuqu Gorge, Han’ao Geological Garden, Fengye Ridge, Shimen Ditch and Grotesque Stone Array of Changbai Mountian, which are all exquisite and marvelous with distinctive features. The green mountain of Ganfanpen is covered with thick ancient trees and dotted with clear springs. Every May, Spring Hiking lasting for one and a half month is held and the man activities include sightseeing of primitive forests, adventurous camping, mountain potherb picking, recreation on forest square and beer drinking contest. Ganfanpen of Changbai Mountain is an ideal spot to sense the nature, approach nature and relax, combining recreation and holiday with adventure and scientific research.

Go around: direct buses from Baishan to Jiangyuan are accessible, the first bus at 6:20am and the last one at 5:40pm with an interval of 5 minutes. The buses set off at West Coach Station of Hunjiang, and pass through Yancao, Tongmei, Bazhong Statiom, Hunjiang Coach Station, Party School, Shangdianzi, Zuozi, Babaoqiaotou, Sunjiabaozi and Liyijuqiaotou.

Situated in the south of Jilin, Baishan belongs to the north temperate continental monsoon climate zone. The four seasons are distinctly cut and the light is sufficient. Rainfall mainly concentrated in summer. The annual average temperature is under 5℃ and in winter, it is cold with lowest temperature of -42.2℃. The best traveling season is from July to September.
