Mangshan Mountain, which is located in the south of Yizhang Country and north of Nanling Mountain, belongs to the Cordillera of Five Mountains in South China. It is the largest and species best preserved national forest park in South China.
Mangshan Mountain is famous for its surprising peaks, beautiful rivers, quiet forest and strange rocks, with its flourishing mountains and forest, and crossing rivulets. Mangshan mountain is the classic work of the harmony between human and nature, with its forest coverage rate over 99%. It has been called “green pearl on the earth parallel” and “the gene library of animals and plants”, because it has the largest area and best preserved virgin evergreen broad-leaf forest and various resources of animals and plants. The main scenic spots are the eight ones: Devil Stockaded Village with the running waterfall, Yanzi Rock with green peak, Forest Plain with a lake in the gorge, Mengkeng Rock with the fog and rain on the top mountain, Sky Scraping Mountain with the moon in the sky, Nipped Pool in the quiet valley, Jingzhu Hole with pleasure in the bamboo garden, and Wave-side Lake with birds and beasts. The beautiful and characteristic scenery attracts a lot of guests touring here.
