Did you try the train search on this site? It will be T38 or K38. It's 891 km by train for about 11 hrs. Or try flight search on this site, it takes 1.5 hrs to get to Guilin by air.
Ok, I know you were asking bus. So it's 554km, about 10 hrs for bus with good traffic. But 13hrs is not unusual. Most buses leave in the morning and get to Guilin in late afternoon.
You can take bus from Guangzhou's Tianhe Station, or Guangdong provincial passenger bus station, or Jiaokou passenger bus station.
