Inner Mongolia During National Holiday

I am thinking about going to Inner Mongolia during the national holiday. Does anyone know if the grasslands near Hohhot will still be green in early October? I'm hoping fewer people will be there during the heavy travel week, but who knows, maybe it will still be overrun with tourists.
