[edit] Examples

  • The new C trains (CRH3 train body) between Beijing and Tianjin (137 km) (opened to publish on Aug. 1, 2008):
    • First Class Seat: 0.3366×150%×137=69 RMB
    • Second Class Seat: 0.2805×150%×137=58 RMB
  • The new D trains (CRH2 train body) between Nanjing and Hefei (opened to publish on Aug. 1, 2008) runs through 2 sections: 1)123 km section from Sanshilipu Station (三十里铺站) to Yongning Town Station(永宁镇站), which the Ministry of Railway stipulates 150% of the standard price because of its heavy investment, and 2) the 2nd section of 33 km.
The total ticket price for a second class seat: 67 RMB. It is derived from as below:
1st section (123 km): 0.2805×(1+10%)×(1+50%)×123=57 RMB
2nd section (33 km): 0.2805×(1+10%)×33=10 RMB
